Dr. Simone Calzolai, Esq. with North Sixth Soccer Holdings LLC in the acquisition of the entire share capital of “U.S. Campobasso 1919” Football Club
NEW YORK-CAMPOBASSO. North Sixth Group (NSG) and Angelo Rispoli, president of US Campobasso 1919, announce the signing of a preliminary agreement, to be closed within 30 days, regarding the amateur sports association Campobasso 1919.
The project is part of NSG’s multi-year plan of participations and collaborations with international clubs, where NSG chairman, Matt Rizzetta, is joined by Nicola Cirrincione, vice president of the project, and Carlo Musa, former sports director of Teramo, among others, as an international technical consultant.
Campobasso 1919 will compete in the Molise Eccellenza, the 5th level of Italian football, in the next season, but aims to climb the Italian football pyramid in the coming years.
The local project manager will be attorney Ivano Maselli, direct representative of the ownership in Molise; the role of sports director will be entrusted to the experienced manager, with victorious participations in Serie D and Serie C championships, Pino De Filippis; the coach will be Pino Di Meo, a seasoned manager who has coached, among others, Agnonese, Chieti, Giulianova, and Andria in various categories of Italian football. The staff assisting the manager in the technical management will be officially announced in the coming hours, while Candido De Lisio will maintain his role as team manager.
“The city and the fans deserve to return to professional football as soon as possible. It has been an honor for me to facilitate and accompany Campobasso 1919 in defining an agreement with Matt Rizzetta and North Sixth Group,” declared Rispoli. “As an entrepreneur not from Campobasso, but in love with this city, I think I have done my duty and I hope that the local economic players will return to approach the red and blue colors in this new ambitious project, which will involve first-level professionals. Now all we have to do is continue working to achieve the set goals.”
“Our goal is to build a sustainable club full of talent on and off the field and attract the best talents from all over the world – stated Rizzetta – The most important thing is that this club will be a platform to represent the city of Campobasso and the millions of Molisan expatriates around the world. We look forward to building a special club for them, which serves as a source of pride and identity that this area of the world deserves.”
“We want to thank everyone who worked tirelessly during the summer to bring us to this point. Our special thanks go to Mayor Roberto Gravina, for sharing our vision of the rebirth of a new football team in Campobasso, through his constant mediation with Campobasso 1919, which was crucial for this result and new beginning, as well as Dr. Angelo Rispoli for his availability and professionalism.”
“I join Matt’s thanks, the love for this city has driven us to embark on this project with all our resources – declared Vice President Cirrincione – Our first step will be to have the ‘Selvapiana’ with a multi-year contract to not disperse the efforts made by the municipal administration to relaunch our stadium, our home. We are already working to open our store, which will be the beating heart of the red and blue fans with many initiatives that you will discover over time. Go Wolves.”
Representing Asd Campobasso was Dr. Luca Porta, while for North Sixth Group were attorney Simone Calzolai, founder of the legal firm Studio Legale Calzolai with offices in Tuscany and London, who handled the legal aspects of the operation, and Dr. Andrea Taddei, Chartered accountant.
